Ventura County’s only full contact women’s football team, is entering year two of playing tackle football. The team is based in Ventura, California but the majority of our players come from the surrounding communities and as far north as Santa Maria. The organization proudly represents the entire California Central Coast.
The team had a good first season but we are looking to expand what was established and are eagerly anticipating to building upon our early success. As a quality organization, we educate both the new and returning players on the safety aspects and the fundamentals of the sport and how to integrate football into their daily lives.
The Black Widows are currently seeking sponsors for our upcoming season. As a sponsor, the funds will provide travel assistance to our away games. We are looking forward to renewing rivalries with the Boise Broncos and the Northern Utah Avalanche. Furthermore, sponsorship funds will also benefit the team by fielding a highly competitive team that the community as a whole could not only feel good about but also cheer for.
